The Squale Master Marina Militare Limited Edition is a great Swiss Made watch that just oozes character. Squale has a deep connection to the Marina Militare (Italian Navy) that goes back to the 1980's when Squale became their official watch supplier. Squale designed these watches according to the specific requests of the Italian Navy. This watch is a renewed collaboration, 40 years later.Ā The watch hasĀ the historic 'Master' caseback. The case has relatively short lugs, which means that despite being 42mm in diameter, it will still be comfortable on most wrists. The dial is a lovely sandwich design, adding depth and allowing more SuperLuminova (BGW9) to be concentrated on the large indices.Ā Having the crown at the 4 o'clock position also contributes to the streamlined look of this watch.
The watch itself is very modern in terms of comfort: 4mm thick sapphire crystal with an AR coating, a Sellita SW200-1 Elabore, a tremendous 1200 meters water resistance, possible thanks to the helium valve, and a very comfortable tropic rubber strap with an additional nylon strap. A serious Swiss Made diving watch with a ton of wrist presence!
